He was storing his whole fucking wardrobe." Batshit Crazy was not just storing his girlfriend here. It opened at the side, and when Owen pulled back one of the flaps, it revealed five suits hanging on a makeshift pole. Owen just glowered at her some more, moving to inspect a tall box which sat just south of the trunk. "We do crazy things when it comes to the people we love." "He loved her," Tosh reminded him, tying to keep her voice light. It was going to take Owen a long time to forgive Ianto, if he forgave him at all. He almost got us all killed." The Cyberwoman incident had only happened five days earlier. Owen looked at her sharply, his face filled with anger. Owen strode over to the end of the bed and none too gently opened the trunk. Aloud, Tosh wondered, "What's in the trunk?" Owen did use slightly different language than she would have, but the sentiment was the same. "The little fucker's been staying down here." These things had not been there the last time either of them had been down on this level. The bed was neatly made with a light-colored sheet and a dark blanket. At its side was a small table with an old analog clock and a lamp on it, and at its end was a beat-up black trunk. In the corner of the dimly lit storage room was a camp bed. Tosh turned to focus her attention on whatever it was that had stunned Owen. As Tosh was setting her box on top of the ones Owen had carried, she heard Owen gasp. Owen put the boxes down next to the nearest wall. "Anywhere, I guess," Tosh replied, following him in. "Where do you suppose I should I put it?" Owen asked. She typed in the unlock code, flung the door open, and switched on the light before ushering Owen in ahead of her with his heavier load. They climbed carefully down the stairs which led down to Level B12, then Tosh led the way to Room C. "Should never have been here in the first place," he countered moodily. "Where did Jack say to put these again?" Owen asked, breathing heavily. "Not how much I hate lugging boxes, no," Owen replied. "Ianto's not 'the help'," Tosh reminded him evenly. "It's not supposed to be my exercise, though," Owen whined. "Oh, c'mon, Owen, this is great exercise." Tosh carried the third and last box which had been sent. "Goddamned teaboy," Owen ground out between his teeth, burdened under the weight of the two heavy boxes which had arrived from UNIT that day. Thanks to Stellar and Cori for the betas and encouragement. ![]() This is only for fun.Īuthor's Notes: My thanks to quinn222 for the prompt, which was to show what might have happened if Ianto had had nowhere to go following Cyberwoman.
